I saw this article by @Justin_hillier and it reminded me of my own twitter experience. I had a Twitter account for 10 months before I started understanding and using it. With the help of programs like TweetDeck, and HootSuite I learned to control the flow of information on Twitter and ultimately grow to love the medium. Then I discovered following conversations via #(hashtags). Justin gives us a list of reasons why he values Twitter and I agree with them, check his list out at Twitip. A good site for Twitter tools is onefourty , it has loads of information on different tools, check it out.
